I visited the site this week and it was great to see how work had progressed since my last visit. The glazed roof structure is now substantially fitted with associated guttering and decoration. It was a lovely sunny morning which can be challenging when photographing buildings or structures so I adjusted the exposure compensation on the camera to one stop over to ensure the shadow detail contained less noise when recovered during editing. Highlight areas were also recovered in post. A chat with the guys on site indicated that the entire project will be complete soon. The RAW images were mainly processed in Lightroom 5 with one being transferred in Photoshop and processed with version 7.2 of Guy Gowan’s process action (the terrace shot). Some of the images I have taken throughout the restoration are being used in a short film being produced by Big Tank Productions Ltd . Once the restoration is complete and I have a link to the film I’ll conclude this series of blogs with some final architectural photographs.
