Tomorrow evening Amy Wood launches her new art exhibition at Tempranillo wine bar in Macclesfield. It will be great to meet Amy in person and discuss her artwork especially as she has and still does use some of my landscape photography as inspiration for her paintings. Quoting from Amy’s recent email to me she said, “I love all your photos, I think I could paint them all!” If you are in Macclesfield do have a look in at her stunning work.
17/3/2014 – The middle of March already and no news post since last November! I have been busy though. February’s Guild of Photographers image of the month competition results are out this Friday and I have three entries in the open category. In January’s competition, I was awarded a bronze bar for my image of the Beetham Tower in Manchester. Early next month, Amy Wood will be exhibiting more of her work in Macclesfield with inspiration for some of her paintings coming directly from my photography.
